For those who want to make the switch to an electric car, an EV’s price tag can often be a major hurdle, but that shouldn’t be the case for the 2016 Mitsubishi i-MiEV. With a starting price of only $22,995, it is the most affordably-priced electric vehicle (EV) in the United States. And with its potential federal and state tax credits, it drops the price even lower.

The 2016 i-MiEV is coming soon to Mitsubishi dealerships nationwide and should be arriving by the end of the March.

Even with its low price, the i-MiEV has a wide range of standard features, including heated driver and front passenger seats, remote keyless entry, and heated side mirrors. With the addition of the Navigation Package, you can add a seven-inch touchscreen with navigation, real-time traffic, 3D mapping, Bluetooth connectivity, a rear view camera, and a USB port.

Mitsubishi stands behind the i-MiEV with a compressive warranty, including an eight-year/100,000-mile limited warranty for the lithium-ion main drive battery pack.

“Mitsubishi Motors is committed to developing EV and PHEV technologies,” said MMNA Executive Vice President, Don Swearingen, in a statement. “The Mitsubishi i-MiEV is a safe and reliable form of environmentally sustainable transportation and is a great option for those looking for a 100 percent electric vehicle.”
