The 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage is one of the automaker’s best-selling models. It’s even more popular than the Outlander and the Lancer, but Mitsubishi has told Car and Driver that it won’t be around for the 2016 model year.
Fortunately, fans of the tiny subcompact won’t be left in the dark. The 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage will arrive to the United States market next spring with several upgrades, including powertrain and chassis enhancements.
Skipping the 2016 model year allows the Japanese automaker to save the time and money it would otherwise spend on marketing and federalizing it. Besides, Mitsu should have plenty of 2015 models to cover the gap, which is relatively small anyway.
So if you were waiting for the 2016 Mirage, just come on over to El Cajon Mitsubishi this spring and enjoy the 2017 Mirage instead! With all of the upgrades planned, it’s guaranteed to be a better deal!
