The Mitsubishi Mirage is back for another model year with a sleek new design and increased performance. While this subcompact hatchback offers the expected outstanding fuel economy, there’s a new model as well. The 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is the sedan version of the popular fuel-conscious subcompact car. In addition to the new model and design, the 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage gets a few other updates as well.
The latest subcompact car offers Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. That kind of connectivity software is usually reserved for more expensive vehicles and, considering the Mitsubishi Mirage starts around $15,000, it was unexpected to say the least.
Both the Mirage and Mirage G4 shares the same 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine that now puts out an increased 78 hp and 74 lb-ft of torque. The Mirage G4 earns slightly less in terms of fuel economy compared to its hatchback sibling.
Overall, both models feature a sleek exterior design with plenty of interior comforts as well as safety technology, like Hill Start Assist. Now available in both hatchback and sedan form, the 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage is bound to rule the subcompact market.
