Whether you live in the San Diego area or are just coming through for a visit this December, you definitely won’t want to miss the Annual Port of San Diego Holiday Bowl Parade. The parade will take place on Dec. 28 and, just like last year, will be the biggest balloon parade in the entire country.
The festivities will kick off with a 5K run/walk. All skill levels are welcome for the 5K, from leisurely walkers to serious runners. Just be sure to bring your most comfortable pair of shoes.
The parade will start at 10 a.m. and will feature some of the world’s best marching bands, extraordinary floats, incredible drill teams, and, of course, a huge procession of giant balloons.
You can reserve grandstand seats today to guarantee you have the best view of the entire parade. And if you want to get involved with the parade in a whole new way, you can volunteer to be a balloon or banner handler, radio host liaison, or a 5K volunteer.
If you’re like all of us here at El Cajon Mitsubishi, you’re pretty excited about this amazing event. So, join more than 100,000 spectators on Dec. 28 and check it out. Just be sure to make transportation plans in advance, as some streets will be closed for the event.
