Visit the 10th annual Dia de los Muertos celebration on October 20th at La Vista Memorial Park. Held by the La Vista Historical Foundation, this Dia de los Muertos celebration is designed to bring this annual Mexican tradition up across the border. You can see various altar tributes, bond with family, and celebrate into the evening hours.

According to Event Brite, the Dia de los Muertos celebration will be held from 2:00 pm to 10:00pm, and there will be a small admission fee. Dia de los Muertos is a traditional Day of the Dead celebration designed to remember friends and family who have died and to try and support their spiritual journey. It originated as a Christian holiday, but it is now embraced by many people from different backgrounds.

At the celebration will be artisan exhibits to showcase an authentic Dia de los Muertos. There will be dance rituals — some of which are more than 3,000 years old — as well as a number of altar tributes and a Best Dressed Catrina contest. There will also be a community altar for those who wish to bring tributes for deceased family members. Other highlights are music and a special visit from artist David Linares.
