From the all-new Eclipse Cross to the innovative Outlander PHEV, Mitsubishi has been releasing some exciting new vehicles in recent years. And the automaker seems thoroughly intent on keeping up the pace. Ahead of the upcoming Geneva Auto Show — slated to take place in early March — Mitsubishi has teased a brand new EV concept car that makes highlights the brands priorities looking ahead and gives us plenty to get excited about.

The new concept is called the Engelberg Tourer, so named after the Swiss alpine ski resort. With a name like that, we can certainly expect this concept to be focus on rugged capability and sportiness.

The new concept also makes clear Mitsubishi’s priorities for future product development: more crossover SUVs and more electric drivetrain vehicles. This newest concept is right in line with a recent statement from Mitsubishi, who said that it intends to develop “more SUV, more EV, more technology and more style.”

While we’ll have to wait a few months for more specifics, the initial image released by Mitsubishi shows a futuristic crossover replete with split-level headlights and a safari-style roof, signaling that it will be all about bold style, rugged capability, and next-generation technology.
