An all-new Mitsubishi vehicle showed up at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show—the XR-PHEV, a new Mitsubishi concept crossover that is also an advanced plug-in hybrid to boot. It’s a beautifully sleek crossover full of advanced technology and we can’t wait to see a production model. However, we’re excited about the XR-PHEV concept for another reason as well—the new concept highlights just a bit of the brand’s future style.
The front of this new vehicle is so coolly vicious that it keeps getting compared to a lucha libre mask, the mask that those impressive Mexican wrestlers wear. Plus, the vehicle is extremely well-crafted, and so we are extremely in favor of this level of detail and sophistication being utilized all across the Mitsubishi lineup. Check out the pictures of the new hybrid crossover concept online, then close your eyes and imagine blending its style into your long-time favorite Mitsubishi vehicles.
However, there’s still more good news, according to North America Executive Vice President Don Swearingen. You see, the XR-PHEV was doing more than just showing off its curves. “We also brought it to L.A. to reinforce the message that Mitsubishi is here to stay in the United States,” Swearingen said. “As we regrow the brand, we will introduce new models while updating existing ones, creating a new look and a new value proposition for the brand.”
We’ll be all on top of that new look and feature all those future new models here at El Cajon Mitsubishi. For now, though, we already sport a pretty impressive lineup of cars, SUVs, and more, so come see us before the end of the year to get some incredible deals.
